How do I submit my demo?
It couldn't be easier.  Before submitting a demo, either by email or post you must first register.  Alternatively, you may submit  your demo at the time of registering as described on our Submission Process and Cost page.   You may then email music files (MP3 or WMA) or links to our email address quoting your registration number.  Or alternatively, if sending a CD by post, just download and complete the Submission form and send your demo to us. The submission form is an Acrobat document. Should you have any problems downloading it, simply send us an email and we will emailor post it to you.

Do you charge a fee?
Yes. Please see our Submission Process and Cost page for full details.

What track record of successes does your company's service have?
We presently have an excellent success rate of more than 40%.  It is very competitive and naturally we cannot guarantee any success, but we do promise to get your music out there.

What genres do you deal with?
We accept all styles of music, including (but not limited to) Rock, Jazz, Indie, Metal, Rap, Reggae, Pop, R & B, Classical, Electronic, and Dance.

Will I retain copyright ownership of my material?
Copyright is automatic in the UK. For any original material, your private right of copyright shall be maintained and recognised. See our Music Copyright page for information and advice on copyright.

What quality should my demo recoding be?
It is obviously advantageous to have a high quality demo, as it will make your demo stand out from the crowd. You are selling a product; the better it is the easier it is to sell.

How should I structure my demo tracks?
Ideally, we require at least three tracks; they should be approximately 3 minutes in length and have a short into. The tracks should quickly progress from the intro, through the first verse and build to a really catch chorus. It's a bit like tailoring a CV for a job application; you need to tailor your tracks for your demo. You must bear in mind that there are hundreds of demos received by record labels, tracks with long intros or overall length risk being overlooked.

What is the preferred format for my demo?
If you are submitting your demo by post, the preferred format is on CD. But you may also email us a website link to your music.

What kind of companies in the music industry are you passing my material on to?
For clients only, we will predominately forward your music to record labels. The majority are independent labels, but there will be some majors. We will also forward tracks to affiliates such as magazines (for reviews) and radio stations, as deemed appropriate.

Can you tell me what record labels you will be sending my demo tracks to?
We will not disclose the record labels that we intend to contact with your music, prior to us submitting your tracks. This is to prevent the record labels receiving unwanted calls and packages.

What positions do your contacts at record labels hold?
In general it will be the A & R contacts, but it does vary depending on the organisational structure of the record label.

How will I be kept up to date with progress of submissions made to record labels?
We will keep you updated with reports of submissions made. These reports will detail the record labels we have approached.

Can I contact the record labels detailed in the submissions report?
We recommend that you do not chase or hassle record labels for responses, as this will do neither of us any favours. We issue the reports to evidence the progress of submissions made, it is not an invitation to contact them.

How will I know when a label is interested in my music?
The record label will contact one of our team. We will pass on your contact details for the record label to communicate direct with you.

Do you send a CD to every record label you approach?
No, we do not send a CD to every record label, as it is not cost effective for us. Some labels request CD's which we cater for, but others will be sent MP3 files or a website link to listen to your tracks. Every label will receive a tailored presentation pack of your band, which we will create.

What will the Presentation Pack contain?
A tailored presentation pack is produced for every client. It is produced using information supplied by you. It will include information about the artist / band, biog, reviews, press / magazine articles, photo shots, gig dates, etc or any other relevant information.

Are the record labels likely to play our demo at all?
We have signed agreements with many record labels to accept demo submissions from us. Additionally, as we are representing you and the solicited material we submit is screened, the record labels know that we have removed any time wasting artists. This results in a high probability that the music will be heard.

A record label has contacted me after you submitted my demo, should I tell you?
We are happy for the record labels to communicate with you directly, but we would appreciate it if you kept us informed of any news.

Are all demos forwarded to Labels?
Only demos we believe have a good chance of being successful and that meet the commercial and market requirements are forwarded to labels. This is to maintain our good reputation.

What happens if my music is forwarded?
We will keep you updated at every stage. Any response will immediately be conveyed directly to you. If the record company wishes to pursue your music demo further, we will forward your contact details for them to communicate directly with you.

What will the Demo Assessment contain?
The aim of this Demo Assessment is to help you strengthen your music to make it more attractive to record companies. This will include aspects of the demo's structure, such as the melody, chorus, vocals, lyrics and production, etc.

How do I pay?
You may pay either by bank transfer, Paypal, cheque or Postal Order.

Can I download the demo using your email address?
Yes, but please limit the number of files to a maximum of two. Please ensure the format is either a Windows Media Audio (WMA) or MP3 type files.

Have you represented ALL the bands shown on your myspace page?
No, not all the artists and bands shown on our myspace page are clients.

I have sent you some music for your Music Promotion Service, how long will it be until I hear from you?
We receive material via post, email and our myspace page. We priorities the clients that contact us through our business post and email first. Depending on the volume of contacts, it should be no longer than 4 weeks.

How should I pack my demo?
Your demo, payment and submission form should be sent in a suitably sized padded envelope. Seal it securely with tape along all edges and openings and put a return address on the envelope. Please do not send boxed packages. Please ensure that there is sufficient postage paid for the size and weight of the package, visit http://www.royalmail.com.

Can I link direct to your website?
